kirsten + tyler | PARIS EIFFEL TOWER SESSION

After a year of pursuing photography full-time, I decided earlier this season to host a portrait session giveaway with two winners, one in each of the two cities that I most often work in. I was so thrilled to pull Kirsten’s entry out of my random name generator (thank you Internet for creating things I never knew I needed) and seriously OVER THE MOON excited when I realized that we would both be in Paris at the same time! Sorry Atlanta, GA, we’ll just have to take a rain check on your portrait session feature until another day..

Kirsten and Tyler were recently married in Atlanta and I managed to cross paths with them in Paris during their honeymoon trip! What trip to the city of love would be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower? We did our research beforehand and discovered that the best time to take pictures at the Eiffel Tower is first thing in the morning, before the heavy tourist crowds descend. The 6:00am meet up time was a bit intimidating, but it was SO. WORTH IT. When we got to Trocadéro, the sun was just beginning to rise and spread its pink hues against the side of the Eiffel Tower. It felt like we were the only people there (okay, minus the five other wedding sessions happening simultaneously..) as we explored the scenery of the Palais de Chaillot together. Afterwards, we walked over to a nearby café with the prettiest outdoor seating space and had a simple breakfast together while watching the morning work commute hustle and bustle around us.

This was such a dream session for me and I’m so thankful for good friends that love traveling (and don’t mind waking up early!) as much as I do. Congratulations again to Kirsten and Tyler on their recent marriage, I hope you all enjoy the photos!
