The most micro- of microwedding days.

Tiffany and Dan were married over Zoom in their very own apartment together (what a time to be alive!), and we met up a few hours later at San Francisco’s picturesque Baker Beach for sunset wedding portraits with the Golden Gate Bridge. I loved everything about Tiffany and Dan’s chic elopement wedding style and how much it reflects these memorable, unpredictable days. Tiffany found her gown in a local Mission boutique just a few days beforehand, and I love how well her red chiffon dress and Amanda Vidmar Design’s floral bouquet looked together in the breeze. There is something so exceptionally beautiful in documenting what could just be an everyday beach stroll, but in an extraordinary way, and this sunny afternoon was such a perfect example of how you don’t always need fancy decor or a room full of guests in order to celebrate a wedding. We went into this session knowing that we wanted to create photographs that felt as effortless and easy as falling in love, or booking a simple appointment with city hall, and I’m happy to say that’s exactly how our time together went. Storytelling still thrives, even (or especially?) in the midst of this pandemic. So many of my current microweddings start from conversations that begin like “What if we just..” and end with a whole lot of gratitude. After all, sometimes all we need is each other – and that’s more than enough.

I’m so thankful to have connected with these two and for the opportunity to document their time in San Francisco together. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to have kicked off my fall wedding season! Congratulations again to these two and their marriage!
