Seven years ago, these two met by total chance in a little campus coffee shop. Their first conversation was a challenge – literally. Justin bet the pretty girl working behind the counter that she couldn’t make an espresso on par with his other favorite coffee shop’s. Shi-Hua took the challenge. They kept talking.. and talking. This past weekend was their beautiful Berkeley wedding.
I’m still such a sap for these breakthrough moments.
I think finding love matters. I think saying “yes” to a lifetime matters. I think celebrating family and community and turning those memories into visual mementos matters.
I can’t say it enough. I love what I do. This was my 50th wedding to date and I just want to say thank you to everyone who takes the time to encourage my favorite hobby.

This is a stunning Berkeley wedding. I always love your light airy style and this bride looks amazing in your bridal portraits. Your portraits of the bride and groom in the tree line are beautiful. You did an amazing job.
Love this Berkeley wedding!! Cassie Xie your photography always impresses. I was already loving the top of this wedding blog, but the moment I scrolled over that first shot looking out at that ceremony view —> ::audible gasp:: What an incredible wedding venue!
