Anniversary, Portraits

maansi + krishna | MATANZAS CREEK WINERY LAVENDER FARM

I’ve been here on the west coast for a little over three years now, and I’ve got to admit, I was 100% convinced in the beginning that I would ultimately convince my entire Atlanta friend group to make the leap with me. Alas.. despite all the photographic evidence I have that California is the BEST state, I’ve made very little headway on convincing anyone else to move.

All that to say that I was ECSTATIC when I heard that Maansi and Krishna were both moving to San Francisco! I had met the two of them separately through our high school days in Atlanta, Georgia together, and it’s been incredible to watch their love story unfold. They are without a doubt one of the most sympathetic, compatible, totally in-love couples I’ve ever known! I was so excited when Krishna reached out regarding setting up an anniversary session to celebrate their third year of marriage. I was doubly excited when we realized that our summer session would fall right at the peak month of lavender season. Can you imagine a more romantic setting for this anniversary session?! We ended up making an entire day trip of it, starting with beautiful portraits in the lavender farm at Matanzas Creek Winery, followed by a delicious dinner at Bird & The Bottle in Santa Rosa.

We could smell the fragrance of the lavender from the moment our car pulled into the winding driveway. I was honestly impressed with the extent of the lavender fields at Matanzas and loved how photo-friendly the entire space was. After a quick tasting, we immediately wandered into the lavender rows and adjoining grape vines for portraits. It was such an amazing experience and I’m so thankful to have gotten the chance to photograph these adorable two! I’m so excited to share these anniversary images on my blog, hope you all enjoy!
