Katie and Jordan were married in October at historic Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley, California. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to celebrate these two and their marriage! Holman Ranch is truly a photographer’s paradise. There are so many incredible spaces for portraits all over the venue and I loved watching all of Katie and Jordan’s closest friends and family explore the iconic space together.

The entire celebration was artfully planned and designed by Rachael of Ruby & Rose. Katie and Jordan used a beautiful, watercolor blue as their primary wedding color, which was expressed in the couple’s invitational suite and paper goods by The Bright Line Studio, the stunning, natural floral arrangements by Paeonina, and in the very color of the setting sunset. The wedding day also included several personalized nods to Katie’s English background, from the late night European candy bar, to the surprise cover song performance of Taylor Swift’s “London Boy” by Katie’s sister and bridesmaid. It was so sweet to see how many of the guests were able to visit from abroad to celebrate these two!

The entire day felt so calm and warm. Every activity was planned with a huge focus on family and friendship. The ceremony included many unique moments that highlighted the community relationships in both Katie and Jordan’s lives. As the bride and groom recited their personal vows to one another, all of the guests were treated to the beautiful sight of Carmel Valley’s hills in the background.

I’m so thankful that Katie and Jordan made sure to schedule time for sunset portraits during dinnertime. While I absolutely love capturing formal portraits before the ceremony, the “just married” energy is something truly special. We were lucky enough to see the vineyards of Holman Ranch right in their peak harvesting season, as well as capture unforgettable moments with California’s quintessential oak trees, right as the sun started to dip below the horizon. I’m beyond grateful to have been a part of this celebration at Holman Ranch – congratulations again to Katie and Jordan!
