There were so many places we loved that we couldn’t just settle on one day of photos – so we did two. Figured we’d have a better chance of seeing San Francisco’s elusive sunset that way (and boy, did the universe deliver). Fran and Ben went surfing right before our first session. They live in a little row of pastel rainbow houses right by the ocean, and as they walked out to meet me, we could hear the neighbors cheering us on from the windows. She learned to do her own hair and makeup from YouTube videos during the week leading up, and his mix-and-match suit is firmly one of my favorite groom looks of all time. Fran and Ben were married earlier that week at a courthouse in Santa Cruz. Laughter comes easy for them. They love each other tremendously. It’s a true and total pleasure to have met these two.
