Engagements

christina + seamus | OCEAN BEACH LAND’S END SUTRO BATHS ENGAGEMENT

This was one of those afternoons where I genuinely felt like I could skip my ab workout and be totally okay. The three of us spent our entire session time busting out in laughter until we felt actual tears on our faces. I met up with Christina and Seamus at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach, where we all marveled at just how beautiful and heavy the sky seemed, after an entire morning of light rain and wind. As a photographer, I’m a sucker for all types of different light, but the kind that shines through right after a rolling storm definitely ranks high up on my list. All of Ocean Beach was so clear and empty. The already vast scene felt even more spacious than normal, and we had the best time making “tiny people in a big world”-style portraits together.

From there, we hopped in our cars and drove over to Land’s End and Sutro Baths. This is definitely one of my favorite (and consequently, most often visited!) places in San Francisco to photograph. The sunlight streaming through the tall cypress trees was truly something special to take in. We strolled and danced our way along the coastline and finally ended up on the old Sutro Baths ruins right as the sun was setting for our final portraits. It’s so easy and enjoyable for me to photograph couples like these two, the time seriously slips away like it’s nothing, and I’m so thrilled to play a small role in witnessing these two exchange vows later this year.

Another very excellent, superb perk of photographing these two – also getting to work alongside Christina and Seamus’ planning team at Dream a Little Dream Events! Can’t wait to reunite with some of my favorite wedding vendors very soon!

I hope you all enjoy this beautiful San Francisco engagement session as much as I loved documenting it.
